Circumcision - WHO ARE WE TO DECIDE?!!!

Circumcision is the removal of foreskin in a male infant or adult. The foreskin is a hood of skin covering the glans of the penis. Circumcision is commonly performed in infant males for "medical", religious, or cultural reasons. Studies have shown however that circumcision is not medically necessary. Personally, I have debated both sides of this issue of circumcising infants. Although it's not medically necessary, it's performance for hygiene and aesthetic reasons may be well warranted. Many adult men express ambivalent feelings about being uncircumcised. Some feel stigmatized or unclean. While others express enjoyment from the highly sensitive glans of the penis.

Unfortunately, we are not able to determine how the small infant boy is feeling while the procedure is being performed. This procedure may be performed with or without local anesthesia and is commonly done without anesthesia.

It could also be argued that there is always a option for a man to get circumcised as an adult.
